Have year to date customer purchases on the POS screen

To be able to run a Rewards Program at my shop, I'd like to be able to see how much a customer has spent so far for a current year. I can tell how much a customer has spent overall since I logged them into the database but even that is cumbersome to find. It would be nice to look at Y-T-D spending on the POS. I'd like to be able to reset this information at the beginning of every year!
