By allowing user-created product tags to be searchable through the POS, employees could save time looking for products that are often purchased together but have different names, or by allowing products that are known through multiple names to be searched by either name. For example, searching "thursday" could bring up the entry fee for Thursday night drafts, as well as card sleeves and a snack menu. Or "bundle" could be applied as a tag to all the old Magic Fat Packs to make the search more intuitive for new employees.

For the longest time, I assumed that the tags actually worked this way, and was tagging things often with alternative spellings and descriptions.
