Currently, the coupon system does not let us create real promotion campaigns.
We can't choose a specific category, except by ctrl-click all the other categories, so if I want to run a promo for Amonkhet singles, it is definitely NOT user friendly.
And what if I want to run a promotion for all Amonkhet rares? Not possible.
It would also be nice to be able to restrict or create a promotion based on tags.
For example: I want to add free shipping for all orders of 75$ or more, except for items in preorder. So I could add a tag "preorder" to all my items on preorder and restrict my promotion.
I also would like to be able to apply a coupon to a single product.
And have a start date! Having no start date makes it impossible to automatically plan the launch of a newsletter with a time sensitive coupon, you have to create the coupon on the exact day you want to start your promotion and then manually launch your newsletter...
I've made a post about the pre-orders option.
Since it is an option under the item window to select pre-order, it seems like it would be easy enough to link the coupon to exclude any that have that option selected.
Having it work by tags would also be amazing!
It would also be nice to have a coupon limit, a max amount it'll give out.
Also, being able to offer a discount on shipping based on the total purchase would be awesome.
Yes please! Coupons are a major hassle with their current implementation!
Coupons should be able to be assigned to specific customers and/or products as well.
We need coupons in the POS more than online. Sale dates and also being able to specify more specific information is really needed. I like the idea of using the tags to combine items into coupons. For example we do 3/10 booster packs for $4 booster packs. This crosses Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. If 3 of these items hit the POS there should be a way for the copupons to see that and automatically apply the discount (Like any other full POS system). Also, Definitely need to specify store versus website because we only give that deal to customers visiting the store in person.
What a great idea, Ji!
We should be able to decide if it can be used online, in the POS or both!
Yes and if we can use the coupon online and in the pos, it will be great
