The idea with this is to roundtrip orders made by Retailers through Distributors/Wholesalers (intranetwork; B2B marketplace or otherwise) back to the Retailers Restock and Inventory.
As a Retailer, I want to be able to order from my distributor, once that order is verified and marked as shipped by the Distributor have that order represented in my Restock page. When the order comes in I can then verify qty and accept the PO to put the products into my inventory automatically.
The Distributor receives the order from the Retailer, from here they are able to modify the qty they can send the retailer and also modify pricing (some Retailers get larger discounts depending on terms). After updating the order accordingly the order is marked as shipped by the Distributor then we, CC, should charge the Distributor 2.5% for the transaction. *side note, we should track to make sure that orders are indeed being marked as shipped and pricing is within a % of list price (probably 15-20%) so that we are charging correctly.
When the order is received by the Retailer it may be a new item, that item should not need to be imported by the Retailer.
When accepting the PO and moving the order into inventory it should show the current sale price for the Retailer and allow them to change it if they desire. If it is a new item and there is no current sale price it should not let the Retailer add the product to inventory without adding a sale price (even if $0.00).
With this process we also have an accurate cost for the item, so we should make sure we are using it accordingly for COG.
This would save retailers valuable time in automating the process of stocking their shop and is a great incentive for choosing our service.
The notices section of the current admin panel 1.0 is not very noticeable so using that to have them be made aware of the new inventory shipment is not a great route, but if the notices top right section were improved for the various types of notifications they get it could be a useful way to tell them they have inventory enroute and to check/ok the new products/categories that will be added.
